Hombres Videopoetry Award Finalist: The 37%

The world is becoming increasingly populated and polluted and the people who live in it, move less and less. But the humble bicycle could go some way to solving these global issues we face today.
In Oxford, 37% of people commute by bicycle. It is one of the highest rates in England, far above the national average of 12%. This video-poem is an ode to them, the 37% who cycle to work or school, whatever the weather.

Jeremy Player is a sport scientist working for the NHS. Not your typical filmmaker. He has only been making films since 2016, but in that time he’s made an eclectic range of short films, from documentaries to sci-fi adventures.
